A Look at PT. BAS Operations             The Company owns and operates a modern fleet of fishing vessels. With an average of 300 gross registered tons and 600 horse power main engine, these vessels carry modern equipment such as quick-freezing and 150-tons cold storage facilities, water desalination equipment, sonar fish finder, radio communication, and other navigational devices. The on-board freezing and handling capabilities enable us to maintain the highest degree of freshness for our catching prior to exporting them to our customers.         Having acquired the necessary permints from the government, each of these completely out-fitted and seaworthy vessels enables us to give our best performance in order to achieve a higher success rate in production.        The Company’s principal product is frozen whole fishes, which are produced from our demersal fishing operations in the Arafura Sea. The handling of our catching takes place on-board the company vessels, where fishes are frozen and packaged within hours after they have been caught.         To maintain stringent hygienic standards and superior product quality, aside from using vessels equipped with quick freezing and cold storage facilities, we implement rigorous quality control throughout the entire production procces, from handling to packaging to delivery.         This focus on quality and freshness has enabled us to meet the high standards that our customers expect.
